| Though we won’t be able to see the full spectacle that is the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show until it airs as a one-hour special on CBS on December 4, last night the show was filmed in New York’s Lexington Avenue Armory. Elaborate sets, themes, and costumes were out in full display as usual. The show started with a Circus segment led off by perennial Victoria’s Secret Angel Adriana Lima, who played the role of ringleader. The Circus segmet was followed by five other segments: Dangerous Liaisons, Pink Is Us, Silver Screen Angels, Angels in Bloom, and Calendar Girls. Rihanna,Bruno Mars, and Justin Bieber were on hand to provide the musical performances for this year’s show, and Angel Alessandra Ambrosio got the honor of wearing the $2.5 million jeweled “floral fantasy bra.” For Fashion Spot forum members, the show is really all about the models. They’ve been anticipating this show since the last one ended, gathering up every scrap of information while sharing their hopes and guesses as to who would walk down the runway in the show last night. In the end, 36 models strutted their stuff in barely-there ensembles. But, it wouldn’t be a Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show without a little backstage drama, right? Model Lais Ribeiro was slated to walk in the show but after twisting her ankle during rehearsal she was sidelined and unable to participate in the main event. Maybe next year?
